Melburnian of the Year

I've long admired the work Kon Karapagiotidis does with the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre. For over twenty years they he has tirelessly appealed to our collective conscience when refugee lives were used as political footballs. It was a privilege to sit down with him in late 2023 to record his story.

For several years the City of Melbourne has entrusted me to interview the new Melburnian of the Year and to help convey their inspirational stories visually. It's one of my favourite jobs of the year. Sometimes the art of the interview is simply to listen, to let a compelling individual speak their own story in their own powerful way.
