Verdant green rainforests, shallow blue lagoons, friendly staff shaking tropical cocktails by an infinity pool. It's like being in my own little White Lotus minus the family turmoil, infidelity and murder.

Since the pandemic I've spent many days abroad without leaving Australia at all. Great destination video teases us with the sensory experience of travel from the comfort of our browser.

Thanks to Mash Brands I've been working with a major international resort group to review thousands of existing video assets and conceptualise new brand films covering a myriad of brands/countries/continents.

Banyan Tree Group is made up of 12 global brands including 70 hotels and resorts, over 60 spas and galleries, and 14 branded residences in over 20 countries.

It has been a truly transportative creative challenge. If only my flat white had a little umbrella. 🍹

d) That means developing several iterations of visual storyboards and scripts, interspersed with robust client feedback and reworking, until a bulletproof creative template has been achieved. The approved concept then moves into production and editing with our gun production partners in Asia!

e) The same process results in creative templates for other Banyan sub-brands.

k) And now, despite the rain outside, it's magic hour in my browser. Time for that signature Banyan cocktail!
